The Public Institution of Kamenjak

Our Institution is in control over the landscape of the Lower Kamenjak and the Medulin’s archipelago. Also in control over the following protected areas:
landscape – Upper Kamenjak (protected since 1996.)
Park forest – on the Kasteja peninsula (protected since 1996.)
Park forest – on the Soline hill nearby Vinkuran (protected since 1996.)

The Public Institution of Kamenjak was founded after the decision about an establishment of a public institution that would be in charge of the protection of the Municipality of Medulin values. The founder and the owner of the Institution is the Municipality of Medulin.

A brief summary over the Institution’s activities: protection, maintenance and promotion of the protected areas with a purpose of care and conservation of the original nature, undisturbed natural processing and restricted use of the goods of nature, and the supervision over the conditions and the protective measures over the areas that the Institution is in control of. The institution functions as a public service.
